Visitors to our website and Services have several ways to interact with us. Depending on the level of your interaction, we collect different information about you. We collect information about you directly from you and from third parties, and we automatically collect information about you through your use of our website. The types of information collected are as follows:

  • Members: Members are users who subscribe to our Services. They will be prompted to provide their name, address, age, telephone number, and other necessary billing information.
  • Visitors: We automatically collect the following information from all users and visitors through cookies and other technologies: your domain name; your browser type and operating system; the pages you view; the links you click; your IP address; the length of time you access or use our website; and the referring URL or webpage that referred you to our website. 4. Our Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms

We and our third-party service providers use cookies and other tracking mechanisms, including those designed for mobile applications, to track information about your use of our website. We may combine this information with other personal information we collect from you, and our third-party service providers may do so on our behalf.

  • Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer through your web browser to your device storage for recordkeeping. Some cookies make it easier for you to navigate our website, while others enable a faster login process or allow us to track your activities on our website and Services, including for online advertising purposes.
  • Disabling cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can modify your browser options to block them in the future. The "Help" section of most browser toolbars will tell you how to prevent your computer from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies completely. Visitors to our website who disable cookies will be able to browse certain areas of the site, but some features may not work properly.
  • Clear GIFs, pixel tags, and other technologies. Clear GIFs are small graphics with unique identifiers that function similarly to cookies. Unlike cookies, which are stored in device memory, clear GIFs are embedded on webpages. We may use clear GIFs related to our website, also known as web beacons, web bugs, or pixel tags, to track the activities of website visitors and users, help us manage content, and collect statistics about website usage. We and our third-party service providers also use clear GIFs in HTML emails to help us track email response rates, identify when our emails are viewed, and track whether our emails are forwarded.
  • Third-party analytics. We use automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics, to evaluate use of our website. We may also use other analytics methods to evaluate our site. We use these tools to help us improve our Services, performance, and user experience. These entities may use cookies and other tracking technologies to perform their services. To learn more about Google's privacy practices, please see https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/ for Google's policy. You may also download the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics.
  • Do Not Track. At this time, our systems do not recognize browser "Do Not Track" requests. However, you can disable certain tracking features described in this section, such as by disabling cookies; you can also opt out of targeted advertising by following the instructions in the "Third-Party Advertising Networks" section.
  • Third-party advertising networks. We use third parties, such as online advertisers, to serve ads on third-party websites or other media, such as social networking platforms. This allows us and those third parties to target advertisements for products and services that may interest you. Third-party advertising network providers, advertisers, sponsors, and/or traffic measurement services may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons, including clear GIFs, Flash LSOs, and other tracking technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and provide personalized advertising content to you. These third-party cookies and other technologies are governed by each third party's own privacy policy, not this Policy. We may provide these third-party advertisers with information about you, including personal information.

8. Retention of Personal Information

ArcoVPN will retain your personal information and modification history for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or regulation.

After your personal information is shared with third parties for security and anti-fraud/anti-abuse purposes, its retention period is determined by those third parties.

If you delete your ArcoVPN account, personal information related to you will be completely cleared.

9. Security of Your Information

We have taken reasonable precautions to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. For example, we take measures, including data encryption, to protect the transmission of sensitive user information. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining this information. We take reasonable measures to prevent such security breaches, but given the sophistication of cybercriminals, we cannot guarantee that our security is 100% breach-proof. Although we take reasonable security measures, you still bear the risk of such data breaches.
